About Us
The Portage Women's Club is a dedicated and diverse group of women—professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, artists, homemakers, and more—committed to using our skills and time to enrich our community. Through friendship, volunteer work, education, and leadership, we actively engage in social and cultural initiatives that positively impact both our club and the wider community with purpose and dedication. Established in 1947, our club has a rich history of community support and volunteer service, focusing on various charitable and community organizations. We offer a wide range of services and events, including community improvement and beautification projects, financial support for the Portage Public Library and other Portage municipal services, and donations to various charitable organizations. Our involvement also extends to supporting the Women's Club of Portage Technology Scholarship Fund, the Bright Eyes Program, Coats for Kids with the Knights of Columbus, and over 100 handmade hats and gloves sets for the Mustang Family Christmas.
We believe in the power of women to embrace who they are, define their future, and change the world.
Harmony, Vision,
and Purpose
We strive to work harmoniously together
on all club projects.
Our fore-founding women had a great vision
of what the
Women's Club of Portage
could be, and they molded it as such.
Now, we have new sights set for the future,
and our purpose is to enrich
our club women and community through the projects
supported by the Women's Club of Portage.
